Dr. Lugg joined Cheyenne Urological in May 2000.  Dr. Lugg is a graduate of Northwestern University Medical School and completed his residency in urology at UCLA. He attended undergraduate school at the University of Denver and the University of Durham, England. He is currently Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Colorado in Denver and served as the Chairman of Surgery at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.  He is the Medical Director for INnMED a mobile provider for cryosurgical services.  Dr. Lugg has expertise in laparoscopic surgery and performs the following procedures on a regular basis:  laparoscopic prostatectomy, laparoscopic nephrectomy, laparoscopic partial nephrectomy and laparoscopic adrenalectomy.  He performs prostate cryoablation for both primary and salvage surgery for prostate cancer and also does laparoscopic renal cryoablation for small kidney tumors. 

Dr. Lugg also has specialized training in the treatment of urinary incontinence and performs pelvic floor reconstruction for vaginal vault prolapse, sub-urethral sling procedures such as TVT, SPARC, InVance and Caldera slings for urinary incontinence and he performs the Prolift operation for vaginal vault prolapse.  He performs Interstim and Urgent PC for urinary incontinence and is the Director of the Cheyenne Continence Center. 

Dr. Lugg is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons (SLS), the Society of Urodynamics and Female Urology (SUFU), American Society of Lasers in Medicine (ASLMS), the American Institute for Ultrasound in Medicine, the American Urological Association (AUA) and the American Medical Association (AMA).  Doctor Lugg regularly reviews articles for the Gold Journal Urology and is in demand for lectures both nationally and internationally on a variety of urologic topics on a regular basis.  Click this link to see a list of Dr. Lugg’s recent lectures.  

Dr. Lugg is well trained in all aspects of urology.  He occasionally reviews medical litigation and serves as an expert witness.  Dr. Lugg regularly serves on expert panels in various aspect of urology.  He was voted Business Man of the Year in Wyoming in 2004 and was featured in the Wall Street Journal recently as Physician of the Year by the Physician's Advisory Council in 2004 and has been featured in Who’s Who in 2006 and 2007.  Dr. Lugg was voted Castle Connelly’s one of America's Top Doctors for Cancer in 2005, 2006 and 2007, America’s Top Doctors 2006 & 2007, America’s Best Doctors in 2005, 2006, 2007 & 2008 and America’s Top Urologists in 2007.  

Dr. Lugg places a strong emphasis on humane, compassionate care of patients.  He takes patient's input on their condition seriously and works hard to understand what impact disease has on patients.  He is conscientious and persistent and tries to communicate in plain language in a forthright manner and to get to know his patients as people first, patients second.
